Polka dots - you probably either love 'em or hate 'em, but anyone can wear them. This perennial print has a tendency to look juvenile if not done right, though. Here are a few tips for wearing dots without looking too "dotty".
- Mix it up. This dress works because it uses two different sizes of dots. With this mix, the print avoids becoming overwhelming.
- Add solid color accessories. The solid black belt breaks up the dots and adds just the right touch. And guess where your eye is drawn? To your tiny waist.
- Smaller dots work better for dressier styles. The bow blouse at left would look silly in larger dots.
- Or break up polka dots with solids to tone it down. The green dotted dress would be far too much without the white vest worn over it.
- Wear dots in spring and summer. Somehow, polka dots just work better in warmer weather. They're bright and cheery and they send off a more casual vibe.
- Think color! Dots don't have to be white. Orange on purple works great for a casual summer shift. Pink on yellow makes a great swimsuit. Stick with two colors, though, to avoid looking clownish.

L'unico frutto dell'amor...è la BANANA!!!
Posted by admin at 3:25 AM 0 comments
Some years ago someone sang: "L'unico frutto dell'amor...è la BANANA, è la BANANA!!!" and in english it means: "The only love fruit ...is the Banana, is the Banana!!!". But today Banana is the very fashion fruit for this summer, the only fruit that can drives crazy the fashion addicted!
First time we've seen bananas was on the last Prada's Parade!!! Miuccia was brilliant and far-sighted!
And now we see bananas put on everythings...dresses, bikini, bag, shoes, jewellery! It's exploding the Banana mania!!!
And I confess...I'm into it! Last sunday I went to H&M in Florence to buy the Banana Bikini but I didn't find it...Damn! I was sad for 5 minutes but then I found very nice tropical fruits shorts and I was happy again!Ah Ah!

Stretch Your Wardrobe with a Basic Sheath Dress

A sheath dress has a figure-hugging silhouette with a well-defined waist. Every woman should own at least one sheath in a solid colored neutral as a wardrobe basic. Such a dress becomes a building block for countless looks when combined with fun accessories. Of course, I advocate shopping for a vintage sheath, as you'll get much higher quality for your dollar. A sheath is a classic look that will never go out of style and looks just a current today as it did 40 or 50 years ago. One of the best things about a neutral sheath? It forms a backdrop, so you notice the woman, not the clothes.
Looks like Jackie Kennedy, doesn't it? This ad, from 1960, actually predates her reign as first lady. This basic belted sheath by Couture International has patch pockets at the hips. Worn with Ben Hur sunglasses and a Jana leather bag.
Basic black sheaths trimmed with white in two ways. Button trimmed sheath by Deb-Time worn with shoes by DeLiso Debs. Jewel-necked sheath by Sue Brett worn with Delman shoes and big daisy earrings. Both from 1960.
When looking for a high quality sheath, check out vintage suits, which often consist of a sheath dress with matching jacket. The jacket will add more versatility to your wardrobe, too! Shown, wool suit by Robert Leonard from 1963.

Paintin' signs....
Sunday, May 29, 2011 Posted by admin at 6:11 PM 0 comments
I made this happy birthday sign for my grandson 4 years ago using a gold plastic frame that once held a mirror. With the mirror missing, I purchased the frame for only $1. I used acrylic paint to highlight some of the features on the plastic frame. I was only able to use it twice since I didn't have one for his sister....Well, I finally found a frame to paint a happy birthday sign for my grand daughter. This gold plastic frame (minus the mirror) was $2.... with a little bit of paint, an old map, glitter and a lot of time I had a finished sign! These will get hung somewhere at our pirate party~This next frame was a .50¢ yard sale find, this is an important sign for any pirate party. Its kinda hard to read in this photo... but it reads "Beatings will continue until morale improves" truer words never spoken~
Fashion + Economics = Fashionomics
Posted by admin at 5:28 AM 0 commentsDa, FASHIONOMICS, slozenica nastala od dve reci FASHION + ECONOMICS!
Naravno kada sam u nedostatku likvidnih sredstava, on me zeza i kaze a gde su ti tvoje investicije, not nice:)
Dizajneri uvek izbacuju limitirane serije. Ukoliko imate novca, investirajte u taj komad, nosite ga sa paznjom, a ukoliko vam ikada dosadi mozete ga prodati i jos zaraditi...

Opi RED HOT AYERS ROCK nailpolish
Inoltre l'applicazione è stata facile e veloce!
Presto vi mostrerò come l'ho abbinato!!!
I'm crazy for red nailpolish (I like them in every shades, from the bordeaux to coral colour) and Opi RED HOT AYERS ROCK NL A47 stole my heart at first sight! And it doesn't disappoint my expectations! The colour is a strawberry red, so pin up style, a very beautiful shade of red, glossy and creamy, one coat is enough to get a excellent effect and I didn't apply the transparent nailpolish. I adore it! I find it so perfect for summer at the beach, with a pois and vichy bikini, or with a fresh white dress, straw bag and hat and a rouge lipstick! I prefer this product to Opi Blue My Mind, the nailpolish I reviewed last time, maybe because, as I said before, I've a weakness for this colour!
In addition the application was easy and quick!
Girls I suggest to you this beautiful nailpolish!!!
As soon as possible I show you how I mixed it!!!

Constance Jablonski & Drama in Court!
Posted by admin at 7:15 AM 0 commentsBeautiful face of young French model Constance Jablonski was on the cover of Russian Vouge in Mach.
This editorial was inspired with drama in court and shot by brilliant photographer Alexi Lubomirski. Constance is playing defendant in high profile case, although on her way to jail she still manages to deliver inpicable style thanks to fashion director Katerina Mukhina. I must say that this is the most galmourous clothes ever seen in court, but still I can't stop wondering how can stockings help anyone's credibility! Enjoy the pics!
Paris Couture: Jacques Fath, 1950
Posted by admin at 4:04 AM 0 comments
Jacques Fath was considered one of the most important influences in post-war Parisian couture. These suits and dresses are all from his line for Spring 1950. Fath was a superb tailor and I covet one of his garments for my collection. Which is your favorite?
