Herve Leger was founded in 1985 by the designer currently known as Hervé L. Leroux. Leroux adopted his current name after he lost the rights to the Hervé Léger name.
Leroux pioneered the creation of the "bandage" or "body-con (body-conscious)" dress, using materials traditionally associated with foundation garments to create dresses that would mold and shape the wearer's figure with its signature bandage-like strips.
In September 1998, Herve Leger was acquired by the BCBG Max Azria Group from the Seagram's Group. This was the first-ever acquisition of a French couturier by an American designer.
Today the front row of Herve Leger fashion show is always populated with actresses and celebrities such as: Rihanna, Hillary Duff, Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian.
Herve Leger je osovan 1985 godine od strane dizajnera koji je sada poznat kao Herve L. Leroux. Leroux koristi ovo ime od kako je izgubio prava da koristi ime Herve Leger.
Leroux je bio pinor u kreiranju tzv. body-con haljina (skracenica od body -conscious) od materijala koji su predvidjeni da oblikuju i istaknu figuru onog koji je nosi.
1998 Herve Leger je kupljen od strane BCBG Max Azria grupe od Seagam's grupe. Ovo je prvi slucaj da je amercki dizajner kupio francuskog!
Danas u prvim redovima Herve Leger revija sede glumice i slavne licnosti kao sto su: Rihanna, Hillary Duff, Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian... Pored inostranih ovaj trend su prihvatile i pojedine nase trendsetterke:)
