Or should I say, SPRAY PAINT SEASON. While browsing around in one of the many thrift stores I like to go through, I came across this lazy-susan spice caddy. It was priced at $4.95-- *highway robbery* This is the way the bottles are supposed to be set in the rotating caddy, so you can read the labels on the spice jars. As it stands set up like this, its missing 6 jars....But.... like this... there are no jars missing. Magic~ When I saw this, I immediately thought of using this to hold some of my glitter. Of course, it was needing to be fixed up just a smidge...
I painted each lid with some satin pink spray paint.... Using my printer, I enlarged some vintage gummed sealing labels that I had and glued them onto the lids... Then I used a brown ink pad to age the edges of each lid... I also spray painted the caddy itself with the same pink paint I used on the lids. Lastly, I added some sheet music to the base before screwing it all back together. There you have it, a lazy-susan glitter caddy. I was hoping it would make a bigger dent in my glitter stash. Nuts~
